We are very proud to finally be able to announce that SJL Insurance Services have passed the Investors in People core framework. It is great that the commitment, hard work and diligence of all our staff and management team gets some recognition.
SJL began the process in 2014. After an initial consultation many small improvements have been made to the workplace. These changes mean that teamwork, personal development and staff engagement are key areas of strength in the business. This is alongside the impressive growth that we have enjoyed year on year.
Over the last 12 months SJL have implemented a number of new elements to the overall employment experience. We now have an employee social once a quarter – which has seen the team go bowling, have a summer party (at the owners house!) and even had spent the evening playing pub golf! (few sore heads after that one). As well as the socials, we also have an employee of the month award, we have implemented regular training sessions and have introduced a half-day-birthday scheme.
