Having worked at SJL for the last 15 years Adrian has progressed to the position of Wholesale Commercial Manager, overseeing the processing of around 800 new enquiries per month. His team actively deals with approximately 700 brokers & pride themselves on the service they provide. They are a rapidly growing team with ever evolving facilities offered to partner brokers.
The team specialise in the hospitality & retail industry with their own binders accommodating Pubs, restaurants, takeaways, shops & offices of all descriptions. They utilise various specialist open market schemes with leading insurers for Nightclubs, Music Venues, Hotels, Guesthouses, B&B’s, Salons, Petrol stations providing a comprehensive product suite for SME businesses.
Additional areas of growth include Cyber insurance, Event insurance, Financial lines such as Directors & Officers insurance, Professional Indemnity insurance, Medical Malpractice & Employment Practices Liability. They also provide flexible & unique access to market is the Construction Trade, offering a wide variety of covers for contractors & tradesmen both for annual contracts of insurance & also large one off projects with a maximum contract period of 36 months; these could include new build development contracts or sizeable conversions of existing structures. We can cover Standalone liability, contractors all risks, own plant, hired in plant & contract works & cover against legal disputes.
Additional bespoke facilities include Marine Cargo & goods in transit insurance, Property Owners Liability, Excess of Loss (Both for Public Liability & Professional Indemnity) & Commercial Combined insurance accommodating warehouses, manufacturing & wholesale risks of most descriptions.
The commercial team operate a clear desk policy whereby every new enquiry is actioned on the day of receipt & they aim, wherever possible, to respond with terms within a 24 hour period. SJL differentiate themselves in the competitive marketplace in the service levels they adhere to & work closely with both insurers & brokers to develop mutually beneficial relationships.
